Winners of the TVET Skills Competition in Western Province awarded
24 winners of the TVET Skills Competition in Western Province held in IPRC Karongi and Rubengera TVET from 14-19 November 2021, were awarded different prizes that included computers, tablets, smartphones, cups and gold medals.
The 6day competition brought together 118 Level 5 trainees from TVET Schools that train in Masonry, Carpentry, Culinary Arts, Industrial Electricity, Software Development and Auto-Engine.
6 winners and their first runner-up were awarded laptops and cups, the 2nd runner up (6) received tablets and the 3rd ones (6) smartphones. Each contestant received a medal.
The TVET Skills Competition in Western Province was organized by RTB in collaboration with IPRC Karongi & 7 Districts of The Western Province under the support of Swiss Development Cooperation through Swisscontact/PROMOST.
The competition aimed at raising the profile and recognition of trainees, practical experiments, industrial exposure, and showing how important skills are in achieving socio-economic growth.
