Rubengera TVET School’s newly constructed infrastructures inaugurated
On Saturday, 19th February 2022, the Minister of Education, Dr. Valentine UWAMARIYA and H.E. Valentin ZELLWEGER, Switzerland Ambassador to Rwanda inaugurated the new infrastructures constructed at Rubengera TVET School in Karongi District, Western Province.
The facilities inaugurated are composed of dormitories, a dining hall, a kitchen and an underground kiln. They were built by the Swiss Program supporting vocational training entitled Promoting Skills Development and Employment Creation in the Great Lakes Region (PROMOST).
In his remarks, the Director General of Rwanda TVET Board (RTB), Dipl.-Ing Paul UMUKUNZI, said that the collaboration between Rwanda and Switzerland is really great and contributes a lot to the future of the youth through the TVET programs.
“This will not only transform the economy of the country but also will strengthen the private sectors.” He added.
Through PROMOST, three other TVET schools in the Western Province namely Shangi TVET School (Nyamasheke), Muhororo TVET School (Ngororero) and Muganza TVET School (Rusizi) got the same infrastructures.
