RTB conducts National wide TVET Roadshows

Rwanda TVET Board in partnership with Rwanda School of Creative Arts and Music and Swisscontact conducted National wide TVET Roadshows aimed at creating more awareness of the benefits of new programs in Technical Secondary School.

The TVET Roadshows took place in Rubavu (Western Province), Musanze (Northern Province), Kayonza (Eastern Province), Huye (Southern Province) and the City of Kigali from 14-18 September 2022.

The shows that saw the music performance of Symphony Band, Ariel Wayz, Bushali, Okkama and Kenny Sol among others brought together Youth, especially those who did senior 3 National Exams, and got the opportunity to interact with Dipl.-Ing. Paul UMUKUNZI, Director General of Rwanda TVET Board.

During the interactive sessions, UMUKUNZI emphasized the technological revolution, and how the youth needs to embrace technical programs today to gain skills needed in today’s competitive labour market.

“The new programs offered in Technical Secondary Schools are aligned with the labour market standards. Enrolling in one of them will not only equip you with competitive labour market skills but also allow you to continue in Universities in Rwanda and around the World, where you can study different engineering programs.”

The TVET Roadshows were also used as an opportunity to recruit talented students who will join the Rwanda School of Creative Arts and Music in the School Year 2022/2023.
