Rwanda TVET Board and Partners Strategize for Future at Q3 Sub-Sector Working Group Meeting
Rwanda TVET Board and Development Partners held the Quarter 3 TVET Sub-Sector Working Group Meeting on 14th March 2024. It gathered key people from the TVET field to review what has been done and plan ahead. They assessed how well projects are working and shared ideas.
In his opening address, Michel Evéquoz, Deputy Head of Cooperation at Swiss Development Cooperation in Rwanda, underscored the importance of collaboration among partners. He urged all stakeholders to deepen their engagement with the private sector to enhance workforce development, emphasize workplace learning, and collectively work towards building a robust TVET ecosystem. Evéquoz emphasized the need for a systematic approach to TVET, stressing its critical role in shaping Rwanda's future workforce.
This was further reinforced by the Director-General of Rwanda TVET Board, Dipl.-Ing. Paul UMUKUNZI, who emphasized the importance of aligning efforts with the national TVET strategy. He invited participants to share their insights, evaluate progress, and propose adjustments necessary for achieving long-term goals. This call to action underscored the collective commitment to advancing TVET and ensuring its alignment with broader national development objectives.
The Q3 TVET Sub-Sector Working Group Meeting serves as a testament to the collective resolve to strengthen TVET in Rwanda. By fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and strategizing for the future, stakeholders lay the groundwork for a more vibrant and responsive TVET ecosystem that meets the needs of both learners and industries alike.
