2500 TVET Teachers awarded Digital Literacy certificates
Kigali-30th November 2022: Rwanda TVET Board (RTB) in collaboration with GIZ held a graduation ceremony for 2,500 Teachers from various Technical Secondary Schools who went through a blended training on Digital Literacy.
The graduation ceremony was held at IPRC Kigali Stadium and graced by the Minister of State in Charge of ICT and TVET, Hon. Claudette Irere.
In his remarks, the Director General of RTB, Dipl.-Ing. Paul UMUKUNZI said that today’s World is driven by technology and access to information requires a certain level of digital skill.
“When it comes to the current education, having a teacher who has no access to digital information would negatively impact the national economic transformation.” He added.
This training has been conducted by Digital Skills Foundation from March to October 2022 and graduates from this program are provided with internationally recognized certificates.
