19 TVET Students Scoop Gold Medals at the National Skills Competition 2025
From June 2nd to 5th, 2025, Rwanda proudly hosted the National Skills Competition 2025 at the Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village (Camp Kigali), a national showcase of excellence in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
The competition brought together 93 top-performing students from Technical Secondary Schools and Rwanda Polytechnic colleges, representing diverse disciplines across Rwanda’s TVET ecosystem.
This annual competition provided a dynamic and competitive platform for students to demonstrate their technical proficiency, innovation, and problem-solving capabilities in skill areas aligned with evolving industry standards. Through practical assessments and real-world challenges, participants exhibited the transformative potential of hands-on training in building a skilled and competitive workforce.
The four-day event concluded in a vibrant awards ceremony, where 57 outstanding students were recognized for their exceptional performance. Among them, 19 students were awarded Gold Medals, celebrating their mastery, precision, and creativity. Silver and Bronze medals were also presented, acknowledging the hard work and commitment of all top achievers.
The closing ceremony also marked the conclusion of the Rwanda FutureSkills Forum 2025, a high-level convening of public and private stakeholders aimed at accelerating inclusive and sustainable economic transformation through skills development and multi-sector collaboration.
